Selena Gomez Closes Out the Revival North American Tour With a Non-Stop Party at the Honda Center

Selena Gomez made a stop at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on Saturday, July 9th, 2016. This was the final stop of Gomez’s Revival North American tour, and the only tour date to feature both singer/songwriter Charlie Puth and teen extraordinaire Bea Miller. Miller joined Gomez for previous dates on the Revival tour, as well as pop-rock band DNCE.

Bea Miller kicked off the show promptly at 7:30pm with “Open Your Eyes.” She followed her performance with “Young Blood,” off her debut album, Not An Apology. While the setlist was short and sweet, Miller managed to throw in a cover Zara Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You,” closing out her set with fan favorite “Fire N Gold.”

Charlie Puth took the time to slow things down, while his set consisted mostly of being on piano. Puth pulled out all the stops with jams like “Marvin Gaye,” “One Call Away,” and “See You Again.” He definitely had the crowd going and singing along the entire time. It was a perfect way to close out the North American leg of the tour.

At 9:30pm, Selena Gomez took the stage. The singer/songstress opened the tour with title-hit “Revival,” filled with sexy, sultry moves shown only by silhouette. As the curtain dropped, Gomez broke out into fan favorite off the new album, “Same Old Love.” Gomez followed it with Stars Dance hit “Come & Get It,” leading into “Sober.”

Gomez kept the beat up just as much as she did her energy. While vocals weren’t the main focus of the show, the setlist was perfectly crafted between some of the best jams off Revival and a couple of throwbacks from her days with Selena Gomez & The Scene. Selena is a true performer in everything that she does and her connection with her fanbase is unparalleled to any other artist.

A non-stop party and Gomez’s second tour as a solo artist, it’s clear this was a declaration of one thing. This was a rebirth of her as an artist; a chance to show the world who she is now, despite how the media and the industry has portrayed her throughout the entirety of her career. “The light inside me is bursting, shining. It’s my time to butterfly,” she proclaimed during the opening. This was, indeed, her revival.

Selena Gomez’s Revival tour will continue on through December 18th, 2016. Tickets can be purchased via Selena’s website at  Selena Gomez’s latest album, Revival, is also available now via Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play.
